He has started his career as the creative director of BBDO and Akcio advertising agencies. He founded Skyfilm Studio his own production company in 1991 of which he has been leading director and producer ever since.

He has directed more than 400 TV commercials in Hungary and abroad as well. He has obtained various awards for his commercials and feature films. (RMB Hungary Award for Best Achievement in Commercial Film, The Producer of the Year 2002, Special Prize of the Hungarian Movie Critics, Prize of the Hungarian Radio and Television Commission, Silver Effie Award, Golden Blade Award, Best Foreign Film - Philadelphia IFF)

He debuted as a director in 2002 with his first feature A Kind of America which became a blockbuster, has won numerous awards and was entered into international distribution as well. This was followed by Hungarian Vagabond in 2004 which also has reached a rather vast audience. His next - third - feature film Lora has also brought more than 100 000 moviegoers into Hungarian cinemas.

The self-developed Tea and Szeret Nem Szeret (Love Bugs based on a Canadian license) TV series directed by Gábor Herendi were broadcasted with a great success on one of Hungary's biggest commercial TV channels TV2.

His fourth feature A Kind of America 2 was released in December 2008 and has attracted 440 000 viewers.

He has produced lately two young first film directors' feature films - Poligamy and Pinprick.

In 2011, he was the lead director of the HBO’s first tv series, called Társas játék. Two years later he directed the second season as well. In 2015 he directed the highest budget Hungarian movie ever, called Kincsem.
